At Awana, children study and memorize God’s Word, have story time in the children’s library, worship together in music time, have snacks, and play during rec.
Awana meets during the school year.
On Sundays, children study The Gospel Project. TGP provides a “big picture” view of God’s Word as children go through the Bible every 3 years, beginning in Genesis and ending in Revelation. Each study is tied to the gospel by showing how God saves us through Christ’s work on the cross. All children's, youth, and most adult classes are going through The Gospel Project. In this way, parents are encouraged to have family worship and faith training by reading and studying the same Scriptures together at home.
Children go to the service with their parents and will be dismissed to The Summit Kids Worship after the Children’s Sermon. Volunteers wait for children in the foyer. Kids Worship meets in the 2nd floor of the Children’s Bldg. Childcare is available for babies through four year olds in the Children’s Bldg. Kids’ Kits are in the foyer for children who remain in worship.
Preschool Choir and Children’s Choir meet at 4:10 PM for snacks and practice from 4:30 – 5:30 PM. Children present a musical at Christmas and in May.
Children’s Choirs meet during the school year.
